Houses on the square 71 were mostly built on Gothic lots before 1530. Arcades constructed approxiamately in the middle of the 16th century give to the square its typical character. The Italian artists were invited to rebuild the Gothic buildings into neat houses with gables and arcades. The town rebuilding into Baroque style took place till the middle of the 18th century. Most of the lovely Baroque facades of the houses on the square were created at that time.
Our house had existed already before 1530. It was named after Martin Ignác Chornitzer, who acquired the house in the year 1747. The building belongs to the most valuable part of the historical middle-class houses in the inner town. Its not only for its magnificent Baroque facade, but especially for the preserved historic structure of the flats and outbuildings. In the house there is a relatively high number of preserved valuable architectonic components and historical structural elements.
Martin Ignác Chornitzer was a noble and religious man and the director of the manor house of Telc for many years. He and his descendants lived in the house till 1897 and thanks to them the house gained his current beautiful look. The house adaptation into the apartment type of accommodation was done in 2009. Due to sensible restoration we succeeded to create extremely spacious apartments with modern style interior in contrast to the ancient house history. During the house restoration we put a big effort to not to disturb the spirit of the house and to provide our guests with indispensable comfort and a family atmosphere to ensure you a pleasant stay.
We offer comfortable accommodation in 4 modernly furnished apartments, equipped with kitchen including all necessary appliances, living room, dining and bed room, LCD TV, Internet connection, hair dryer, umbrella, basic information about Telc and surroundings as well as thematic pictures. The attic apartments are equipped with air condition. There is a private shower and WC in each apartment. Additionally in the apartment No.2, you can find a bathtub in the bed room and in the apartment No.4 a massage bathtub, a home cinema system and a fireplace.
